Our Story

From a Local Sports School to a Growing Youth Movement

What started as a recreational sports school in Novo Selo has grown into a structured youth sports initiative with football, volleyball, modern facilities, international events and long-term support from Sport4Kids.

April 2022

Launch of the Recreational Sports School

In April 2022, Mile Gjorgjiev launched a recreational sports school for children and young people in Novo Selo.

Training initially took place mainly in the school gym, creating a safe and accessible space for children to move, play and grow together.

Several future Sport4Kids board members supported the initiative privately from the very beginning.
December 2022

New Artificial Turf Field at Manuš Turnovski School

The recreational sports school quickly gained popularity throughout the community.

A new artificial turf football field was built on the school grounds, creating better conditions for regular youth sports.

A first major infrastructure step for the growing sports movement.
February 2023

Foundation of the Football and Volleyball Academies

With more than 100 children participating, the initiative evolved into a more structured sports program.

FK Ogražden and ŽOK Novo Selo were officially founded.

Recreational activities became organized youth sports programs.
April 2023

The Old Sports Hall Comes Back to Life

Volunteers cleaned and prepared the abandoned sports hall for use again after more than 15 years.

A forgotten sports facility was reopened for the community.
May 2023

Reactivation of the Main Football Field

The abandoned football field in Novo Selo was cleaned and prepared for training again.

FK Ogražden received a stronger foundation for future development.
October 2023

Novo Selo Returns to the Sports Stage

After many years, Novo Selo returned to organized competition — for the first time ever with a women’s volleyball team.

The players entered the national pioneer volleyball league and represented Novo Selo on a national level.

Novo Selo entered official women’s volleyball competition for the first time in history.
December 2023

Foundation of Sport4Kids

In December 2023, Sport4Kids was officially founded in Switzerland to support youth sports in Novo Selo financially and strategically.

Bojan Boev, Dejan Boev and Tome Nakov joined the boards of the clubs from the Swiss diaspora.

Private support became an organized international non-profit initiative.
March 2024

Rebranding in Yellow and Black

The clubs adopted the traditional yellow and black identity of Novo Selo.

A shared identity strengthened unity and recognition.
July 2024

National U20 Head Coach Appointment

Coach Marija Ričlieva became head coach of the Macedonian women’s U20 national volleyball team.

A major recognition for volleyball development in Novo Selo.
August 2024

U22 Balkan Championship in Novo Selo

Novo Selo hosted the U22 Beach Volleyball Balkan Championship with teams from seven nations.

Novo Selo became an international sports venue.
December 2024

Renovation of the Sports Hall Completed

The sports hall renovation was completed with support from volunteers, the municipality and the Ministry of Sport.

Professional training conditions became reality.
May 2025

Senior Teams Create New Perspectives

FK Ogražden and ŽOK Novo Selo registered senior teams for national competition.

The academies now offer a full pathway from youth to senior competition.
