SPORT4KIDS EDUCATION

Green Generation

Caring for Nature. Taking Responsibility. Creating a Greener Future.

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a healthy environment and learn how to protect the world around them.

The environment plays an essential role in our health, well-being and quality of life. Understanding how our everyday actions affect nature is an important step towards building sustainable communities.

Green Generation is a planned educational initiative by SPORT4KIDS designed to introduce children and young people in Novo Selo, Macedonia, to environmental awareness, sustainability and responsible everyday habits.

By building on the connections created through football and volleyball, we aim to encourage young people to discover nature, understand environmental challenges and take positive action in their local community.

Our Approach

Learning to Care for Our Environment

Environmental education begins with awareness. Children and young people need opportunities to understand their surroundings and recognise how their actions can make a positive difference.

Sport provides a familiar community environment where young people already experience teamwork, cooperation and shared responsibility. These values can also be applied to protecting nature and caring for public spaces.

Our planned programme aims to connect environmental education with practical activities, outdoor experiences and youth-led community initiatives.

Through age-appropriate learning and active participation, we want to encourage young people to develop sustainable habits and become responsible members of their communities.

Protecting our environment starts with understanding its value and taking responsibility together.
Six Core Environmental Areas

Building Environmental Awareness Through Everyday Action

Green Generation is being designed around six interconnected learning areas that support environmental awareness, sustainable habits and community responsibility.

Environmental Responsibility Through Our Sports Community

Two Sports. One Shared Responsibility.

SPORT4KIDS works with two established partner clubs in Novo Selo: FK Ogražden and ŽOK Novo Selo.

These sporting communities provide opportunities to connect children and young people with environmental education and practical sustainability activities.

Green Generation is intended to involve participants from both clubs, encouraging cooperation and environmental responsibility beyond the playing field.

FOOTBALL

FK Ogražden Novo Selo

Building on our youth football community to encourage responsible waste disposal, care for sports facilities and participation in environmental initiatives around local playing fields.

VOLLEYBALL

ŽOK Novo Selo

Connecting girls' volleyball with opportunities to explore sustainability, develop environmental awareness and participate in collaborative community activities.

Our Educational Objectives

Creating a More Sustainable Future

Green Generation aims to contribute to four long-term educational and community development objectives.

Environmental Knowledge

Strengthening understanding of environmental challenges, natural resources and sustainable everyday practices.

02

Sustainable Habits

Encouraging responsible behaviour, waste reduction, resource conservation and positive environmental choices in daily life.

03

Community Participation

Supporting teamwork, volunteering and active involvement in practical local environmental initiatives.

04

Responsibility for the Future

Helping young people recognise their ability to contribute to a healthier environment and more sustainable communities.

Our Long-Term Vision

Inspiring a Generation That Cares

Our ambition is to make environmental education an accessible part of personal development for children and young people in Novo Selo.

By combining the trust, cooperation and community connections created through football and volleyball with practical environmental learning, we aim to encourage lasting awareness and responsible everyday habits.

As the programme develops, we hope to collaborate with educators, environmental organisations, volunteers and local partners to introduce sustainable educational activities and community projects.

We believe that meaningful environmental change can begin with small actions, shared responsibility and young people who care about their communities.
